This is the way I see Satanism:

Satanism is a way of life that allows the practitioner to be who they want to be. It allows them to be in-tuned with their inner desires without consequences when they act upon these desires. We are our own minds, therefore, we are against those who conform to the thinking and ways of another. There are more factors to Satanism as well, however, I will not get into every detail as I want that to be left up for discussion.

Most people think of Satanism in all the wrong ways. There are many controversies about what Satanism really is, means, and what the Satanist does. I hope that through our discussions here, we can explain those mis-conceptions for you.

Let me tell you a secret of mine, which has led me to a great success in my practices. (Mind you, I am not a high-ranked Satanist. I have much to learn and don't always practice what I know for everything I do. I do have a tendancy to let things roll the way they need to as to not force an issue. This is to avoid possible damage to myself later.) Okay, on to my secret: There is only ONE Satanism. There is no Theistic Satanism, LaVeyan Satanism, etc. Satanism already is a meta-tribe that does not have sectors or branch offs. To think so, is an error of your own thinking and falls under Stupidity (The #1 Satanic Sin, which makes you just as bad as the falsified Christian attitudes and ways of living.)

Let me clarify this a little more for you. To say "LaVeyan Satanism" is to put LaVey on a pedestal and call him a "God". Legend, yes. Not God. To put anyone on a pedestal in this fashion is against his very words. He spoke of this in The Satanic Bible. His intentions were not to have a religion named after him. What he wanted was for everyone to learn the TRUTH. He greatly appreciates that you would consider him a God, as he said to create yourself as a God and by you putting him there, he accomplished this for himself. However, you as a Satanist are not following his words on this topic so how can you say you follow his ways and call yourself a LaVeyan Satanist.

It is Satanist. Period. Satanism. Period. Satanic. Period.

Because Satanist focuses on you finding who you are and being able to tap into your deepest desires, I have found an alternative name to easier explain it to those who not practice Satanism. But when I remembered the words of Dr. Anton Szandor LaVey, I immediately dismissed the thought of this replacement name. I knew that there was only one title for our meta-tribe, Satanism.
