Darkest Realms Network was created on June 9th of 2008 by
Luscher's Underworld. It
was originally designed as a group on MySpace.com. It didn't seem
to be going anywhere. When Ning.com was discovered on September 5th
of 2008, everything was moved. The features on Ning.com were much
greater for the groups needs. This is where the development of DRN
as a site came along.
Some of the features on Ning.com were only a taste for the
newcomer. The abilities and privileges were only an example of the
ideas that were in store for development. The profiles for each
member and what was allowed on each were put into consideration.
The main and segregated areas were still being developed and
designed. To put it simply, Ning.com was the best step for DRN.
The idea of having one site for all the Darkest of resouces was an
idea that came from the fustration of having to sign up to one site
for each topic. To combine the different personalities and
lifestyles of the human being on one site was, is and always will
be a struggle. This is the importance of having grottos for these
various alignments of characters. A site developer of this ambition
must always have a main area or areas where the varities can mingle
and learn from each other.
The dreams and goals for DRN is to have the largest database for
all people, places and things that are considered to be dark.
Whether they are labeled "Dark" by society, our own standards or by
human default is not the question. The question is: Can we all get
along for enough time to pull a project like this off? Can it
really be done?
The owner of DRN has searched other sites, ideas and philosophies.
The price for membership must always be considered by what you get
for your hard earned dollar, euro, peso, etc. The fact that you are
getting so many documents, songs, videos, photos, links and
knowledges at your finger tips for only one membership, that alone
is a huge benefit. Who really wants to pay to be on 20 sites,
create 20 profiles, check 20 inboxes, or have 20 sets of friends?
Most people don't and that is a huge advantage of DRN. It takes it
all down to 1 site, 1 profile, etc. This allows for more free time
for enjoyment in the forums, chat rooms, games, etc. and other
features that will be added in the future.
So, who does the owner consider to be "Dark"? A few examples would
be the Vampire, Werewolf, Satanist, Athiest, Pagan, Goth,
Juggalo/Juggalette or anyone who relates to or stands by blood,
magic, death, darkness itself, or even blasphemy. What you will not
find within these gates are the clean-cut, prim and proper,
ultra-religious, or otherwise self-rightous holy roller. Is there
an in-between or grey area? Sure there is. It is called
"interested" or "learning". These are the people that for many
years were taught to go to church, don't swear, don't do this and
don't do that and are fed up with. Those that want to know what
lies on the other side of the fence where free will really is
allowed to form and take place. Some of these may not stay or they
may find a better and more truer self. In this case, they will join
us, "The Un-Holy".
Upon entering these gates and realms of darkness, you will find
that there is a set structure and terms of services. It is your
responsibility to follow them. Granted you follow them, the
Administration of this site will not have to confront you and you
will not be threatened to lose your membership. Darkest Realms
Network is not designed for the owner to become rich, however, you
would better enjoy your time if you pull a little bit of money out
of your pocket and purchase a membership to gain the extra
features, abilities and privileges that are permitted with each
Membership structure. Darkest Realms Network is never finished
being developed and relies on the memberships to continue enhancing
the features, abilities and privileges.
There is an adult section that is under construction. The security
that is being built for this section denies anyone under the legal
age limit of your country, state, providence or territory to enter.
There is a fee for its use. Why does this fit the theme of
darkness? One word: Indulgance.
The ideas and philosophies within make little sense to the
outsider, "The Holy". Don't be left behind. Join Now!!!!!
